Product Placement - www.productplacementtheblog.com - twitter.com/ElleTucker

A rave review is great. A rave review from my mother-in-law is even better, because she has a healthy scepticism of the beauty industry, is a doctor, and has absolutely no reason to tell me that something is fabulous if it isn’t.
So when she told me how much she was enjoying the Nephria Jade Serum that I gave her to try out, I was interested to read a bit more about the company and its philosophy. Run by a husband and wife team, Andrew and Charlotte Mills. Nephria focuses on the use of pure Jade, which has been associated with health and beauty in the Orient for thousands of years. Charlotte came across Jade products in 2006, contacted the supplier and went to South Korea to meet him and his family. She was amazed at how healthy and vibrant their skin was. The products have been available in South Korea for over 30 years, but had never been exported.
Anyway, you can read more about Jade and its benefits on their website. In the meantime, I’ve chatted to Andrew on email (they are based on the south coast) and he has kindly offered to add a free Jade Beauty Bar, worth £20.00, to any orders of the serum reviewed below from Product Placement readers. You need to order by phone though – on 02392 504755 or 07791 249451 – and mention this website. My only problem now is that I wish I had a bottle myself but hey, them’s the breaks.
What is it?
Nephria Jade Serum.
How much?
£45.00 from http://www.nephria.com/
What does it promise?
“The Nephria Jade Serum is one of the best kept secrets of the beauty industry. Containing highly concentrated ingredients including Nephrite Jade, the Serum is absorbed quickly and more deeply into the skin for a more intensive effect.”
Does it deliver?
I have to admit I was a little sceptical about the promises, but it actually DOES live up to its promise. My skin feels smooth, soft plumped-out and less dry immediately after application.
What’s nice about it?
It has a fresh subtle scent. About 5 or 6 drops are sufficient to cover the face and it applies really easily, and is absorbed almost instantly without any residual greasiness left on the skin. My own make-up goes on top of it with no problem.
…and not so nice?
I have no adverse comment to make at all, and will certainly buy it again. Obviously it is too early to comment on any long-term effect on wrinkles but what a good start!
Would you recommend?
I would certainly recommend it. I love it! A real feel-good factor on using this product.
